My background: 50 yrs old, still considered a long hitter, my official handicap index is 9.3. On average I play one round of golf a week but get no practice time inbetween.This is a great ball in the genre of the Titleist Pro V1. It delivers what it advertises. It is long and straight off the driver, but is super off the irons and around the greens.
I've played this ball for a few months now and find that this ball spins back when hit properly, checks up nicely on chip shots and is a wonderful ball on the putting green. Great feel.
Be prepared for the urethane cover to scuff; any softer covered ball should.
In the hands of a more skilled player than myself the ball is easily "workable" and that is the golfer this is designed for.
Honestly? I wouldn't recommend this ball for a new or generally wilder high handicap golfer. I highly recommend it for the lower handicaps and those who really work at their short game but don't want to give up (or need to increase) driver distance and accuracy. It's absolutely worth the money for them.
